Valbuena is the purest expression of red wine in Vega Sicilia and ages for five years between the barrel and the bottle, which gives its name to the final product: Valbuena 5 °.

The first year of aging is done in oak barrels and is particularly important, utilizing 75% French oak and 25% American oak. In this first phase, our goal is to build the wine, working on its structure, sensation of sweetness and density. The second year of aging takes place in large wooden vats and, at this stage, gains elegance, complexity, tension and subtlety.
