This Ghidini two-blade corkscrew was made with the removal of older, damaged or disintegrating corks in mind, as it does not work with drilling. As it does not put pressure on the top of the cork, it prevents the cork from falling apart and ending up inside the bottle.

How to use: slide the blades downwards, between the stopper and the glass (the two blades enter the side of the stopper), then twist and pull until the stopper is removed.
