Legacy represents a tribute by Fernando Guedes and his team to the best that Douro has, a unique tribute to Sogrape's roots.

The grapes come from a century-old vineyard, from Quinta do Caêdo. The harvest is manual, the grapes are selected in the vineyard and on the selection mat, at the entrance to the cellar. After destemming and soft crushing, the grapes are sent to stainless steel vats, where alcoholic fermentation takes place. A long and gentle maceration is carried out, with controlled temperature, in order to extract the compounds that express the terroir from that vineyard.

Maturation in vats, of French oak, over a period of about 30 months. During this period, it is subject to numerous tests and analyzes in order to monitor its evolution. In order to preserve the highest quality, it is only subjected to a light filtration before bottling.

Tasting Notes: Excellent intensity and aromatic complexity, with notes of ripe black fruits, balsamic, heather, resin and sous-bois, to spices, such as pepper, slight notes to truffles, slightly stony and with a wood of excellent quality well integrated. In the mouth it has an excellent volume, tannins of great quality, a refreshing acidity, notes of black fruits, spices and truffles, with an end of excellent elegance and longevity.
