Melgaço, the northernmost region of Portugal, is protected by a series of mountains that allow a perfect marriage between rainfall, temperature and the number of hours of sunlight necessary for the best maturation of the Alvarinho grapes.

The grapes, exclusively of the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually and transported to the winery in a short space of time. After pressing, the must obtained settles for 48 hours, followed by fermentation and aging in French Oak Casks (new and used barrels), remaining on the fine lees with periodic batonnage until the end of June.
