Selected red port wines, produced in the eastern parts of the Douro Valley, including Taylor's own estates, are aged in oak casks in Taylor's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. There, the cool and humid climate allows a gentle aging process, producing aromas of great complexity and delicacy.

Deep, old gold color, with hints of dehydrated fruit and honey to compensate for the intense aromas of nuts. Exuberant and silky richness, with an elegant, slightly austere feature, which is quite distinctive. Subtle flavors of dried fruit underlie the exotic layers of caramel and nuts, culminating in a never-ending finish.

Excellent accompaniment to many desserts. It combines well with flavors of figs, almonds and caramel. It is also excellent to accompany a crème brûlée or a glass of strawberries. It can also be enjoyed alone, at the end of the meal.
