Scala Coeli, owes its name to the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli, commonly known as Monastery of Cartuxa, where Carthusian monks lived in silence and prayer. It results from the best vinifications of each year from less traditional Alentejo grape varieties. It was first produced in 2011. Being an exceptional wine with a high potential for evolution, it deserved the reserve designation.
