The Dona Paterna cellar, by Carlos Alberto Codesso, is located in Quinta da Carvalheira, in the center of the parish of Paderne, near the village of Melgaço. The Codesso family has been producing Alvarinho grapes since 1974, having started, in 1990, its own production and bottling, under the brand Dona Paterna.

Carlos Codesso has 15.5 hectares of Alvarinho vineyard, in land of granitic origin, with a gentle slope and facing south, in order to obtain a better sun exposure and thus benefit its maturation.

In a modern cellar, equipped with the technology best suited to the production of quality white wines, Alvarinho's grapes are treated with all care, to extract maximum taste and aromatic potential.

With a citrus yellow color, a fine and persistent bubble, the aroma shows the fruit of the Alvarinho complex with a persistent taste and complexity. Ideal as an aperitif, due to its characteristics it serves to accompany great diversity of gastronomy.
