The indicated price is equivalent to 6 units During the French Invasions in Portugal, the populations tried to protect their most precious goods from the looting of the invaders. The people of the current region of Boticas were no exception, and afraid that their valuable belongings would be plundered, they hid what they could, including the wine, which was buried on the floor of the cellars, under the barrels and lagares. Later, when they recovered their precious possessions, they discovered that the wine had acquired unusual properties. A wine with a low alcohol content and some gas, the fruit of the natural fermentation process during the period it was buried and whose conservation benefited from the constant temperature and absence of light. Because it was buried, the wine was named Wine of the Dead. The tradition remains until today, being the living history of the village of Boticas. Vinho dos Mortos, named Regional Transmontano, has its production delimited to the slopes of Vila de Boticas, which have particular climate and soil conditions. Unique and different, it is a transitional wine, with a low alcohol content, palette, and slightly gas. Proof Notes: Aroma is usually red fruit with vanilla notes. On the palate it is light, with pronounced acidity, a lot of freshness and a subtle and pleasant gasification. These characteristics reveal a wine of singular character, tasty, cheerful and exciting. Perfect for hot summer days and for every day of the year, for lovers of a smooth wine of pronounced freshness.
