This wine is a remarkable example of the Noval style. It is treated exactly the same as Vintage Port Wine: it comes only from noble grape varieties from the Quinta, foot-trodden grapes and is not filtered. What distinguishes it is the fact that you age four years or five in vats, instead of two years like Vintage Port. It is undoubtedly a distinctive LBV, with very well-structured tannins, great freshness and purity of fruit. It's delicious to drink now, but it will age beautifully in the bottle.
