This wine is a tribute to Leonor de Almeida Portugal of Lorena and Lencastre (1750-1839), fourth Marquesa de Alorna, Portuguese poet of Sec. XVIII, and one of the most notable voices of pre-Romanticism in Portugal. Possessing a clear literary and scientific culture, an active and intervening woman in political and cultural life, she encouraged the appearance of new aesthetic ideas.

Marquesa de Alorna results from singular weather conditions and the selection of the best castes in each year. This harvest gave rise to five grape vines from old vineyards in the Heath with low yields per hectare and from the transition zone between Lezíria and the Heath.

Deep red color. Intense aroma protruding floral notes and very ripe fruit surrounded by chocolate and white pepper fruit of the barrel stage. The elegant, lively mouth is complemented by fine, well-integrated tannins where the aromatic notes are felt. Long and distinctive finish.
