The Motherland of our grapes are the 35 hectares of vines that can be seen on the highest hill of the Herdade, at about 450 m altitude, benefiting from a privileged sun exposure and a better ventilation of the vines; surround a small oasis of holm oaks and cork oaks, which serves as a shelter for the birds that fly over the land and marks a visual feature, which symbolizes Herdade do Freixo's appreciation and deep respect for the harmony of the rural landscape.
