Premier Cru 'La Grande Montagne' is almost isolated at an altitude of 310 metres, surrounded only by vegetation, in the namesake 'Montagne de Chassagne'. The special location in combination with the marginal limestone soil gives the wines an impressive minerality, complexity and delicacy. The grapes are hand-picked, rigorously selected, gently pressed and musts ferment in barrels sourced from their own cooperage (one-third new). The wine is then aged on the fine lees for a good fifteen months.

Light gold with fragrant bouquet of vineyard peaches, honey, fresh bread and toasted almonds. In the mouth it is finely fruity, markedly mineral, with lively freshness and wonderful length.
