The grapes for this wine were harvested manually, in Pomar Novo, Jardim da Serra in Câmara de Lobos, above 800 meters of altitude, in the south center of the island of Madeira. This area of the archipelago is characterized by having Andossolos type soils, located in the highest parts of the island, above 400 meters, with an average content of organic matter, but deficient in most macronutrients. This vintage was aged in very old oak barrels, in the so-called “Canteiro” method, in the centuries-old cellars of Blandy - Blandy’s Wine Lodge. Bright crystalline, golden open with golden nuance. Characteristic, intense, complex bouquet with notes of candied citrus fruits, ginger and brandy. In the mouth it is dry and vibrant, with very fresh notes of bitter orange jam. Leaves a long and warm finish with spicy notes.
