We descend the Serra do Mendro to the foothills through the courelas of Cevadeira, protected by the shadows of the slopes. Ancient, thin-skinned grape varieties, translucent in color, round tannins, in Myndru we feel the tradition and typicity, the fine and delicate aromas of red fruits grown in brown soils with little structure in a cool climate, and balsamic notes of carrasco and rockrose. Our attention is drawn to the complexity of wines from microterritories.

The transparency of the grapes, delicately coppered in plaster and clay amphorae, show the texture and scent of the orange groves grown further down the stream. The gravity of Alfrocheiro, the succulence, viscosity and exoticism of Tinta Grossa in Tinajas de Terracotta form sensations that fill our memory and bring to mind wines that echo primitive voices. In the end, the mineral perception and tension of the Berry and a firmness for the 12 months stage in an amphora of “Cocciopesto”.
