Alion comes from carefully selected terroirs located in the best areas of the Ribera del Duero region. The soils complement each other and, together with the same winemaking process used at Vega Sicilia, have wines produced with a firm structure. The 2018 harvest reflects the climate influenced by the Atlantic, with above average precipitation, cold temperatures and a relatively late harvest, between 28 September and 12 October. First used the new winemaking unit, with smaller tanks, at half capacity, allowing for greater accuracy during extraction.

2019 was a fresh vintage, with Atlantic influence, giving this Alión a more vertical, longer and elegant expression.
