Terroir Series is a new range launched by Quinta do Noval, an opportunity to explore specific terroirs, identified as exceptional.

Vinhas do Passadouro, from Quinta do Noval, comes from an exceptional terroir on the left bank of the Pinhão River. The vineyards are mainly planted, in old terracques, in the center of which is situated a plot of 0.93 hectares of old vines. These vines dating back to 1930 are a field blend with more than 20 different traditional castes. Vines do Passadouro 2020 is the first launch.

The wine presents a deep and intense color, revealing concentration and vitality. A profusion of aromas with intense notes of ripe fruit, such as blackberry, black cherry and plum. Aromas of spices, black pepper, cloves and cinnamon add complexity. The tannins are firm and well integrated, providing a solid and elegant structure. It is body-filled, with a velvety texture that fills the mouth. It is complex and deep, unfolding into aromatic expressions as it spends time in the glass.

The aging potential is great and, over time, will gain greater aromatic complexity and softness in tannins. Although it is delicious right now, its true essence will be revealed after a few years of keeping.
