Chryseia 2019 was produced from a rigorous selection of grapes from Quinta de Roriz and Quinta da Perdiz, properties of Prats & Symington.

A dry and mild winter and spring meant that at the end of summer the evolution of maturation was dependent on the occurrence of precipitation. However, the almost total absence of rain between May and the end of August was compensated by relatively mild temperatures that mitigated the effects of the water deficit. Fortunately, light periods of rain at the end of August, together with a month of September of ideal conditions, led to a balanced maturation of the various components of the grapes – evident in the excellent balance between acidity and sugar levels. Freshness and vivacity are the signature of the 2019 wines. 

Tasting notes: Powerful, concentrated and dense and with a strong Douro personality, it is balanced with a trace of freshness and minerality that allow it to be tasted well. What stands out are the fine and elegant tannins.

This wine is great to accompany red meats, roast beef and grilled meats.
