Clos du Marquis, long considered the second wine of Léoville Las Cases, is today a Cru in its own right, which is one of the greatest wines of the reputed appellation Saint-Julien. Historic vineyard of the Delon Thursdays, Clos du Marquis became a brand in 1902, a date that marks the birth of its first harvest.

The vineyard's location near the Gironde favors the maturation of grapes thanks to the regulatory role of the river, while the soils of organic matter confer a particular typicity that makes the Clos du Marquis so original.

A mixture dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (72%), complemented by Merlot (27%) and Cabernet Franc (1%), Clos du Marquis 2017 underlines all the attention and precision of the technical teams brought from the vineyard to the cellar.

The 2017 Clos du Marquis reveals all the brightness and purity of the fruit in an intense and gourmet aromatic palette. On the palate, the powerful attack displays the whole personality and structure of the Cabernet Sauvignon while the elegance of the tannic structure reveals a flattering, silky touch of mouth. Supported by a beautiful acidity, the finish ends in a persistent length, highlighting the complexity of the wine.
