The grapes are harvested by hand into small baskets, in a single harvest, following the traditional way of producing Port wine. The grapes are trodden by foot in old stone vats. Fermentation takes place with temperature control, being interrupted by the addition of cognac (fire water). This wine has great aging potential: matured in oak barrels for a minimum period of 7 years. Orange, dark amber, copper trend. Aromas of raisins, dried fruit and vanilla. On the nose very fresh, but with sweet notes of brown sugar, spices and cinnamon. Well balanced, good acidity and freshness, smooth and silky, with a strong texture on the finish. It goes well with all kinds of desserts, especially those based on eggs or dried fruit (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts...).
