Vineyards from Câmara de Lobos and São Vicente where the soils are volcanic in nature, derived mainly from basalt, trachytes, tufa, slag and conglomerates.

Hand harvest, with qualitative selection (best grapes from the 1997 Colheita) during several weeks according to the state of maturation.

Vinification in open spout. Fermented entirely in stainless steel vats with temperature control and pumping times. Aged by the traditional Canteiro system, in French and American oak casks of different capacities.

Brilliant, medium amber color. Elegant, pleasant, rich and ripe aroma with notes of molasses and walnut. Sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity. It ends with notes of chocolate and caramel.

Excellent with tropical fruit, dark chocolate, honey cake (traditional from Madeira), chocolate desserts, petit fours, praline, butter cookies, fruit cakes, coffee-based desserts, cheeses with a pronounced taste and when served like digestive or coffee.
