Quinta dos Carvalhais Único is, as its name implies, a unique wine, a Dão red of exceptional quality, the maximum exponent of the elegance and richness of this brand. Heir to ancient knowledge, Quinta dos Carvalhais combines experience with innovation to create very elegant wines, with intensely delicate flavors and the unique personality of the region.

This wine was aged in new and used French oak barrels for 18 months. During the maturation phase, numerous tastings were carried out to monitor the evolution of the different wines. The wine was subjected to light fining and filtration before bottling. In order to preserve its highest quality, it was bottled without cold stabilization treatment.

Tasting Notes: The delicacy of Quinta dos Carvalhais Único 2015 is expressed both in color and aromas. It is a wine with notes of black fruit and wild fruit, resinous nuances, aromas of forest, moss, pine, "sous-bois" and a very fresh menthol touch. It is the exact expression of the terroir of Quinta dos Carvalhais. It has a firm and defined attack, with polished tannins, in a fresh, elegant and enveloping body. The aromatic complexity is confirmed in the mouth, complemented by some floral touches that last in a voluminous, delicate, long and persistent finish.

It's a wine that invites you to the table, it's very gastronomic. The wine's elegance and freshness make it versatile, and it can be paired with either an octopus à lagareiro, an oven-roasted pork neck or even a rib-eye broth rice.
