Selected reds Port wines, produced in the eastern zones of the Douro Valley, including Taylor's own farms, are aged on oak hulls in the cellars of Taylor's in Vila Nova de Gaia. There, the cool and humid climate allows a gentle aging process, producing aromas of great complexity and delicacy.

Wood aging during the 40 years concentrated this wine to almost an essence, developing intense and complex spicy aromas and dried fruits, in addition to a dense and concentrated palate, full of rich and velvety flavors.

A sublime port wine of very age, which shows nuances of golden and olive green color, a product of the many years he spent in a hull. Decades of evaporation have concentrated this extraordinary wine, giving it exceptional density and a powerful nose to dehydrated fruits, honey and a touch of spices. Signs of nutmeg, roasted coffee and an intense feeling of dried fruits converge, both on the bouquet and on the palate. The rich, intense, voluptuous and almost viscous texture of the wine, culminates in an end of incredible persistence.

Excellent accompaniment for many desserts. It goes well with flavors to figs, almonds and caramel. It is equally excellent to accompany a milk-cream or a glass of strawberries. It can also be enjoyed only, at the end of the meal.
