Vieira de Sousa +40 years is an exceptional Port made with several batches with an average age of +40 years of aging in oak barrels. The prolonged aging in small wooden barrels gives this tawny color and the complexity of the aromas.

Vieira de Sousa +40 years Tawny is produced with grapes from our old vineyards along the Douro River. Fermentation was carried out in mills with foot treading. After fortification with brandy, the wine aged for many years in barrels and in old oak barrels in our warehouses along the Douro Valley.

Tasting Notes: Roasted color with a brown top and a green halo around it (very characteristic in old Portos). On the nose, a wine from another era, but very lively and delicate. A fabulous concentration of coffee and liqueur that comes through the palate with a long aftertaste.
