Cedro, named after the emblematic tree that dominates the terrace of Quinta do Noval, is an authentic expression of the Douro. Made mainly with traditional Portuguese grape varieties, it also contains a proportion of Syrah, which rounds and opens the fruit and gives the wine enormous charm and accessibility.

Cedro do Noval is a blended wine made with traditional grape varieties from the Douro region. In addition to these, it also includes the Syrah variety whose plantings began at Quinta do Noval in the year 2000. Its varietal expression is enhanced by the excellent conditions found in the Quinta's terroir.

This wine is fermented in stainless steel vats for 7 days where malolactic fermentation then takes place and aged in French oak barrels for 11 months, 8% in new barrels.

Tasting Note: This wine has a dense color, aroma of spices and red fruit with hints of dark chocolate and black plum. It has a firm acidity throughout the tasting and has a beautiful fruity finish with a slight smoky touch.
