Maynard's Colheita 2012 Tawny is an elegant and intense port wine, with aromas of dried fruits, especially walnut, vanilla, lemongrass and peppermint nuances. In the mouth it is voluptuous and balanced, with a striking acidity that counterbalances an almost excessive sweetness, notes of honey and spices, light smoke and subtle ripe fruit.

The grapes are harvested manually and transported to stone presses where they are manually treaded for optimal extraction of colour, tannins and aromatic compounds. At the end of the harvest, the wine is transferred to 600L barrels where it ages until the ideal bottling time is decided.
