Herdade do Sobroso, on its 1600 hectares, combines wine production with the enjoyment of space and nature, using them as a leisure center. Located in the Alentejo municipality of Vidigueira, Herdade do Sobroso is bordered by the Serra do Mendro to the north, the Guadiana to the east and to the south by the enormous plain that stretches as far as the eye can see.
It is in this geographical harmony that the richness of its lands is based and it is in this context that the winery is located.

Inserted in a unique terroir, on the banks of the Guadiana river, in the DOC region of Vidigueira, the predominant red varieties are Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Trincadeira, Alfrocheiro and Petit Verdot while the white wines come from the Varieties Antão Vaz, Arinto, Alvarinho, Verdelho and Perrum. 

The wines of Herdade do Sobroso, intense and elegant, of great aromatic complexity and natural freshness, result from respect for Nature and the unique terroir of our vineyard next to the Guadiana River, in the DOC Vidigueira region.
