Situated at the foot of the Serra D'Ossa, just 35km north of Évora, Herdade da Maroteira is a 540ha estate that has been owned by the same Anglo-Portuguese family for 5 generations, since the mid-19th century.

This a monovarietal wine, 100% Syrah and is characterized by a concentrated violet color, with a lush nose with warm notes of black and menthol fruits, ending with toasty notes of the barrels. Round and warm in the mouth, with a firm structure and good persistence.
