When we think of nature, we think of all the ways it intoxicates our senses. Nature is alive, moving and in permanent reproduction. It is something that is constantly evolving that we do not control and that we do not intend to do so. Wines crafted by nature are those that feature the unique characteristics of a land. These are wines that have their own life in the bottle, changing over time. The idea of bottling what nature created is what makes the art of wine making so exciting.

CV - Curriculum Vitae Douro Tinto comes from a single vineyard in the valley of the Torto River. All grapes are harvested by hand and selected before being de-engined and placed in the mills. All grapes are crushed on foot 2-3 days before the start of fermentation. The wine will ferment in the mills and occasionally tread will occur on foot to extract tannins, color and flavor in the wine in a balanced way. The wines are transferred to 75% new French oak barrels (225 liters) for malolactic fermentation and aging over 21 months.

Tasting Notes: During the life of any winemaker, there are wines and moments that mark our life and that, therefore, deserve fi car in our curriculum. This is one of those wines. We called it CV - Curriculum Vitae. Created by Nature, this wine is born in a unique vineyard over 90 years old, in the valley of Rio Torto with sun exposure to the North, East and Northwest. Each year, this wine surprises for its aromatic complexity, its structure and longevity. The 2019 CV Curriculum Vitae Douro Tinto has violet, dark red and purple tones. Notes of black currant, cherries, plums and spices. It is balanced, exquisite and has a prolonged tack in the mouth.
