In this Single Malt, the barley used to make malt is grown locally in Moray and the malt is produced in the distillery with water from the Lossie River. The malt is fermented and then subjected to a double distillation in copper stills, which turns it into whiskey. This whiskey spends 10 years in American oak barrels previously used to age bourbon and finishes in new barrels of intense toasted American oak Tasting Notes: Golden yellow color. Intense and sweet aroma with notes of vanilla, toffee and chocolate. In the mouth notes of jam and candied citrus, caramels (butterscotch), vanilla and green apple. Sweet and balanced finish.
Scotland is the oldest whiskey producer in the world, making them the most popular on the market. Scotch whiskey is produced from malted barley or grains, which, after being double distilled, must age for a minimum of 3 years in oak barrels. Scotch whiskeys are divided into Single Malts and Blendeds. The first is produced only from the mixture of malted grains, resulting in a more intense and creamy flavor. The second type uses a mixture of malted distillations and different grains, resulting in a simpler flavor.
