In the middle of the Atlantic and at the base of Portugal's largest volcano the Volcanic Series are wines of pure volcanic terroir. The soils are rocky and challenge the very definition of agricultural soil. On the seashore, where nothing else could grow, the grapes matured as much as the brave Azorean climate allowed.
