Produced only in the best years, from the best vinifications, Vintages are the quintessence of Port Wine, with great aging potential. The grapes are carefully selected and destemmed. An intense maceration is carried out in the first 48 hours for better extraction of the components of the films. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, at controlled temperature, being carefully monitored and interrupted at the ideal moment by the addition of wine spirit. A 2-year staging period follows, avoiding oxidation. Ruby color, which tends to open up red reflections over the years. It has an enormous aromatic potential, with floral notes where wild fruits predominate, with a soft minty touch. Its exceptional body and smooth tannin structure give it a long and exuberant palate. Excellent to serve with chocolate desserts, with soft cheeses such as cheddar, gouda or brie, or even with dishes seasoned with red meat, game, lamb or veal. If you keep it lying down, place it in an upright position 24 hours before serving, to avoid deposits. |
